Dump Trailer Rental vs. Dumpster in Snohomish County: Which One’s Smarter for Homeowners?
Most household junk, furniture, and remodel debris are fine in our dump trailers. Hazardous items and liquids are not. If you’re unsure, text us a photo—we’ll keep your load compliant and accepted on the first run.
Okay to load (typical examples)
- Household junk and furniture (bagged where possible)
- Mattresses and box springs
- Carpet, pad, drywall, wood offcuts, tiles, cabinets, doors
- Non-refrigerated appliances (stoves, washers, dryers; we’ll direct refrigerants/E-waste properly)
- Small quantities of inert materials like brick, concrete, dirt when handled correctly (see heavy-load section below). County facilities treat these as garbage only, so we plan routes accordingly.
Not allowed (use safe drop-offs)
- Liquids (paint, oil, solvents), fuels, propane, batteries, fluorescent tubes, mercury items, sharps, asbestos, medical waste, and many corrosives/toxics. These belong in the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) program at 3434 McDougall Ave, Everett (Wed–Sat, 8 a.m.–4 p.m.; businesses by appointment).
Special note on yard/clean wood debris
Snohomish County isn’t accepting yard/clean wood debris at its solid waste facilities until further notice. We’ll route these loads to alternate sites so your project keeps moving.
